Systems Engineering Society of China

The Systems Engineering Society of China (here in after referred to as SESC) is a nongovernmental academic organization of professionals in the field of systems engineering and systems science. It is also one part of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). In 1979 21 famous scholars and experts, including Qian Xuesen Guan Zhaozhi, Song Jian, and Xu Guozhi proposed to set up the SESC, which was formally founded under its present name in November 18, 1980 in Beijing and the natural scientist Qian Xuesen and social scientist Xue Muqiao served as the honorable presidents to show the salient characteristics of interdisciplinary endeavors from multiple domains and areas. The objectives of the SESC are to develop academic exchange, to promote and popularize the theories and methods of the Systems Engineering and Systems Science and to extend their applications in various fields, and thus to unite the mass of professionals in this field for help to improve the level of management of our country and to serve the national economic construction for the different missions at different periods during the past 40 years. To organize academic activities and promoting the development of theories and applications in Systems engineering and Systems Science; To propagate and popularize the SE knowledge; To hold various training courses; To edit and publish academic periodicals; To offer consultation to some major SE programs of the country. To evaluate project; To appraise the achievement; To assess professional qualification; To develop the international academic exchange of SE and SS. To serves for science and technologies.
